Scheduling globally distributed teams
With participants in three or more timezones, some people inevitably take meetings outside standard hours. Rotate inconvenience fairly rather than always making the same region take 22:00 calls. The planner visualises who's sacrificing so the load is visible.
Rule of thumb
For teams spanning >6 hours, record the meeting and share notes β synchronous attendance for everyone becomes a luxury you can't always afford.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does it handle DST transitions?
We use IANA timezone data, so Daylight Saving Time is applied correctly per city. The grid updates automatically when you change the date across a DST boundary.
Can I share a meeting slot?
Yes β once you pick a slot, generate a shareable link that encodes the chosen time and all participants' timezones.
What's 'working hours'?
9:00β17:00 local by default. You can customise per person β some teams are 7:00β15:00 or 10:00β18:00. The overlap calculation respects each person's range.
Does it account for public holidays?
No β showing holidays accurately would need a country database and is outside scope. The tool assumes all listed days are working days.
